Starstruck Wins Big at Rainbow Nationals!
The Starstruck Dance Company was the big winner at the Rainbow National Competition at the Wisconsin Dells.  We were the national champions in the mini and junior levels and won first overall in mini, teens, juniors and seniors. Three Starstruck dancers, Molly Hofer (mini), Haylee Zimmerman (Jr), and Katie McClusky (teen) wwere named as "Dancers of the Year."  Each will recieve an expense paid trip to Australia to compete in the World Finals! We were so proud of all our dancers and their accomplishments!! They made us truly proud!

Summer Intensives

Designed for the advanced competitive dancers. Company members are required to attend three weeks of intensives.  Classes wi ll cover ballet, jazz, lyrical, and leaps and turns. Three to four levels for ages nine and up. Meet on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.

June 4th-June 22nd       9:00-11:00 MTThF   Cost:  1 week   $90

August 6th-10th            9:00-11:00 MTThF             2 weeks  $150

                                                                                3 weeks  $220

                                                                                4 weeks  $275

 

Designed for the dancer with some experience who is interested in imporving technique or working towards the company level.  Classes will cover ballet, jazz, lyrical, and leaps and turns.   One to two levels depending on enrollment.  Ages 9 and up.  Metts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.

June 4th-21st                6:00-7:30                 Cost:  1 week     $80

August 6th-10th           6:00-7:30                           2 weeks   $135

Designed for student's age 5-9 who are interested in improving technique or working towards company level.  Meets on Mondays and Wednesday's from 5:30-7:00.

Our state of the art facility consists of four main dance studios with waiting facilities for both parents and students. All studio’s have Marley floors, and the two largest studios have raised wood floors.

All of the summer classes below begin on June 11th and run through July 20th! If your student needs to miss a class, we are happy to have them make up in another class that is offered!

Tiny Tot Classes

These classes are for our tiniest dancers who want to explore a variety of creative movement including tap & ballet skills.

Age 3-5 (no experience) Tap/ Ballet

Wednesday          10:00-10:45

Wednesday          6:15-7:00

Ages 4-7 (with experience) Jazz/Ballet

Wednesday           9:00-10:00

Monday                 5:30-6:30

Cost: $75 for six weeks

Fun Classes for 5-8 year olds

This is for minii company or Rising Stars and jazz/ballet students who want to learn new styles of dance! Also for new students 5-8 who want to do something new and exciting!

Hip Hop         Tuesday      5:00-5:45 

Tap               Tuesday     5:45-6:30

Beg Acro        Tuesday     6:30-7:15

Cost: 1 Class $75; 2 classes $135; 3 classes $160  (all for six weeks).

Acrobatics

Level 1-2        Thursday    5:00-6:00

Level 2-4        Thursday    6:00-7:00

Level 5-6        Thursday    7:00-8:00

Summer Technique Classes

Jr High - High School Dancers

These classes are perfect for dancers who are aspiring to be ona scholl dance team or just want to learn more dance!

Intermediate        Tuesday      5:00-6:00   cost $75 (six weeks)

Inter/Adv             Tuesday     6:00-7:30    cost $105 (six weeks)

Elementary-Jr High Dancers

These classes are for recreational dancers who want to have fun learning all kinds of dance styles such as jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and leaps and turns!  No experience necessary!

Ages 6-9             Monday       5:00-6:00

Ages 10 & up     Monday        6:00-7:00

Cost $75 for six weeks

Leaps & Turns

Beginning             Wed           5:00-6:00

Inter/Adv             Wed           6:00-7:00

Cost: $75 for six weeks

High School           Wed          7:00-8:30

Cost $105 for six weeks

Appropriate class attire:

Tap & Ballet          Black leotard, pink tights, black tap shoes & pink ballet shoes

Jazz/Ballet             Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes

Hip Hop                Shorts & tank top or leotard with tennis shoes

When selecting a studio, there are many things to consider, and we believe at Starstruck we have what most parents are looking for.  Please ask yourself as you select a studio - Who is teaching my child?  At Starstruck the answer is college-trained dance teachers with degrees in dance and elementary education.  Our teachers are "trained" to teach your child.  The teachers are mature and we never have high school students as teachers.  We believe the faculty makes the difference, so we ask you to check us out because we feel we have the best faculty in Johnson County!! So Why Starstruck??

Starstruck Faculty

Starstruck is dedicated to dance education and giving it's students a solid foundation in dance.  Our faculty consists of well trained adult teachers who have studied dance at the college level.

Erin Novak Lustig- Director & Choreographer

Erin Novak

Erin is the director of Starstruck and the artistic director of Seamless Dance Theater. Erin began her choreographic journey at the young age of 9 years old as she rearranged the living room furniture to make room to dance.

Jessica Brown Morrow- Asst. Director
Jessica Brown Morrow is a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in elementary education and dance. She was a member of the K-State Klassy Kats for four years and team captain for three years. Jessica has a special gift for working with children.
